    BTW, they don't offer Kissui for tasting at Takara in Berkeley, just the sakes.

    Finally tried it last night -- it's delightful!!! Reminiscent of Ketel One, clean, clear flavor, no heavy alcohol aftertaste, and no harsh burning sensation going down. I strongly recommend it!!

          My friend says she mixes the shit. The last time I drank that crap I ended up with my first wife. What a drag. Now if I want Liqorice I drink Ouzo.

  Looks good like a zipped up sake’ made from rice. I am a traditionalist when it comes to vodka I like it made out of potatoes. But this is one I will surly try because I do love sake too.

    I like sake, but I don't connect a good sake with a good vodka. Moscow tends to make good vodkas if they are pepper vodkas, otherwise in my experience St. Petersburg makes the best. Sadly, none of the best are available in the US.

      Chris, you should try it anyway. It will surprise you, I think.
      
      You know, you can make your own pepper vodka. I learned this when I lived in Poland as a hangover cure: one shot glass of vodka, one Tbs. of ground black pepper. Stir and knock it back in one shot. It's especially helpful for an upset stomach.
